Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng (16 February 1997 – 8 February 2018), known by the stage name Ebony, was a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs "Poison"and "Kupe". She was discovered by Bullet, a member of Ruff n Smooth fame.

Early Life and Education

Reigns was born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra. She was raised in the urban areas of Accra.
She started her basic education at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman, Accra followed by a high school education at Methodist Girls High School at Mamfe in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region, Ghana, though she did not graduate.
She quit high school in pursuit of her music career.

Career

Ebony was discovered by renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame when she sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his Rufftown record label just a day after listening to the recording.
 Ebony came out with her first single, "Dancefloor", in December 2015 with a video and audio release. The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
In March 2016 Ebony released her major hit single "Kupe", which is a household anthem in Ghana and some other African countries.
 Ebony is signed to ruff town records and Midas touch Inc.
In April 2017, Reigns was arrested for "indecent exposure" while exposing her breast while wearing a mini-skirt at a passport office in Accra as she attempted to travel to Tokyo for her concert

Death

Reigns was killed in a traffic collision on 8 February 2018 while returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit. She was one week shy from her 21st birthday.
