Nii Ashie Moore, former Adentan MP |
These former honourable men and women, are finding things difficult because they are unemployed, former Adentan MP, Nii Ashie Moore said.
“Some of us who lost the elections are very hungry…I am still going about with my resume looking for employment…,” he revealed on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Friday.
The NDC lost 48 seats in the 2016 elections. They lost as many as 17 seats in the Greater Accra and Central Regions alone.
The rest were scattered in the other 8 regions.
And the former MPs, Ashie Moore said are already facing difficulties in meeting the needs of their numerous dependents.
These dependents, Ashie Moore revealed are mostly persons they were taking care of while in power.
Ashie Moore who lost the primaries of the NDC in the run up to the 2016 elections therefore expressed shock that the 10 regional chairmen of the NDC are engaging in acts that would further divide the NDC party and won’t make it attractive to be voted for once more.
According to him, attitudes like premature endorsement of candidates caused the defeat of the NDC and hence called on them to desist from such acts.
“NDC lost 2016 elections because some people always lied to Mahama…the old man was not told the truth by some people, some people were singing tunes they felt he wanted to hear…,” he said.
