Bastie Samir will face Benson Mwakyembe on January 27

After knocking out undefeated African Cruiser champion, Bukom Banku, Bastie Samir (16-0-1, 15 KOs), will be making a return to the ring on January 27th at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Samir will be facing Tanzania and East & Central Africa Professional Boxing Federation Super Middleweight champion, Benson Mwakyembe, (11-3-1, 6 KOs) of Tanzania to edge him closer to a world title shot.

The bout will be on the undercard of Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe and Fernando David Saucedo IBO lightweight championship.

Samir carved a niche for himself in October 2017 when he became the first man to beat loud-mouthed Bukom Banku.

The former Olympian stopped Bukom Banku in the seventh round in their scheduled cruiserweight contest that came off at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
