Otumfuo to meet Kotoko top hierarchy today over Happyman Bitters saga

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is expected to solve the problem

Ghanaguardian.com can exclusively reveal an extra ordinary meeting today at the Manhyia Palace between the Leadership of Kumasi Asante Kotoko over the Happyman Bitters saga.

Asante Kotoko owner Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is expected to mediate between chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei and the leadership of the supporters union led by Kwaku Amponsah, nicknamed 'K5'.

According to reports, relationship between Kotoko board members and Executives of the National Circles Council got sour when a contract with the alcoholic beverage firm was signed by the chairman of the club's supporters union without the consent of management.

Dr. Kyei has since threatened to resign from his post and called for the head of Kwaku Amponsah for usurping his powers to associate the Kotoko brand with a company in the alcohol industry.

It is because of this that Asantehene has called an emergency meeting today to halt the boiling tension between the two factions.

It is expected that all board members and leaders of the various supporters wings in all 10 regions will be in attendance at the meeting which is set to take place at around 10:00am.
